JoinMe child safety standards

JoinMe app, operated by Jiacheng Wen · Last updated: 3 October 2026

Zero tolerance

JoinMe does not tolerate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualising minors, sextortion, and trafficking or any attempt to arrange contact with a minor. It is forbidden in profiles, photos, activities, chats and anywhere else in JoinMe, and it breaks our Terms of Service.

JoinMe is for adults only

  • You must be 18 or over to use JoinMe.
  • We ask for your age when you sign up, and our systems reject ages under 18.
  • Accounts we believe belong to someone under 18 are closed. Accounts that harm or endanger children are banned permanently.

How to report

If you think someone on JoinMe is under 18, or a child is at risk:

  • In the app: tap ⋯ on the profile, activity or chat, then Report and choose May be under 18.
  • By email: safety@joinmesocial.com. You don't need an account, and for possible child sexual abuse material you don't need to give your name, and you may write from an address that doesn't identify you (we can only reply to that address).

Never send, forward, download or screenshot images of a child. That can be a crime in itself. Describe where the content is instead, for example the name on the profile, the activity title or the chat.

If a child is in immediate danger, call the police first: 112 anywhere in the EU, or 110 for the police in Germany.

What we do

  • We treat reports about minors and child safety as a priority.
  • We take the content offline and preserve the original as evidence for the authorities. We never make copies of child sexual abuse material.
  • We ban the accounts involved.
  • If an account may belong to someone under 18, we may suspend it until the person confirms their age, and close it if they do not.
  • We report suspected child sexual abuse and any threat to a child's life or safety to the police of the country concerned (in Germany, the Federal Criminal Police Office, BKA), as the EU Digital Services Act (Art. 18) requires. We comply with applicable child safety laws and cooperate with law enforcement requests.
